Parallel Universe Movies
Sometimes I like to imagine what life may be like in parallel universe to our own…
From playing games on systems like ColecoVision or FM Towns to Apple Arcade, I get a strange inkling that this is what life would have been like growing up in a world where Atari, Nintendo or Playstation never existed.
I really enjoy that strange, “slightly adjacent” feel when I stumble across oddities like that in movies, music, books, gaming, etc.
These fan creations, bootlegs, parodies, props and artworks make me feel slightly removed from the world I know.
So going forward I plan to post some articles with this type of media to share these “parallel universe” type moments as a fun way to disconnect and imagine what life might have been like somewhere else.
Today I am posting some trailers I have been watching on YouTube for alternate reality versions of films we know and love. These are AI generated and I feel showcase one good use of AI technology (Regardless of where people stand on that debate, but that’s a post for another day.)
